Industry

In Ancient Egypt, all of the nation's production came from the Nile river. Every year, the Nile would flood, leaving nutrient rich silt deposited on the land. This fertile land is what the farmers used to grow their crops. The Nile also served as a major form of transportation, considering that the area surrounding Egypt was a complete desert. The Egyptians used the Nile to trade with other countries (when they were not at war with them) and to transport the Egyptian armies in times of war.
